Oldfield's Blue Label is a blended Scotch whisky bottled in the 1980s by J. & G. Oldfield Ltd, in a 75cl bottle at 43%. It was bottled mainly for the Italian market, through Filippi Fausto & C.s.r.l.
The nose is slightly fermented, with concentrated grape must, wrinkled apple skins and dried sultanas, alongside caramel, dusty grain, rose water and some unusual notes of mine gas and corn silage. The palate is very soft and honeyed, with mealy apples, sultanas, caramel, malt and milk chocolate. The finish is short and light, with gentle oak, vanilla and honey.
