OOLA Waitsburg Bourbon (75cl, 47%)

OOLA Waitsburg Bourbon is a four-grain craft bourbon from Seattle, Washington, bottled at 47% ABV (94 proof) in a 750ml bottle. The mashbill combines corn, rye, malted barley and white winter wheat, rather than the usual three grains. It is distilled in a copper pot still and first matured in small American white oak casks. It then moves into full-size 53-gallon American white oak barrels with an alligator char, for a total maturation of six to eight years. Tasting notes describe vanilla, caramel, cinnamon and ginger on the nose, butterscotch and maple on the palate with some savoury, herbal touches, and a warm, balanced finish of buttery oak, toffee and cherry.
