Opus One 2022 is a red wine from Oakville in Napa Valley, grown and bottled at the Opus One winery. It is a Bordeaux-style blend based mainly on Cabernet Sauvignon, at around 85%, with Merlot, Petit Verdot, Cabernet Franc and Malbec.
The wine was made by Michael Silacci from sustainably farmed vineyards and aged for 18 months in new French oak barrels.
It is deep garnet in the glass. The nose shows cassis, blackberry compote, tobacco leaf, rose petal and crushed graphite. The palate is full-bodied with silky tannins, black cherry, dark chocolate, leather and toasted oak. The finish is long, with mineral freshness and balanced acidity.
