Orphan Barrel Barterhouse 20 Year Old is a Kentucky straight bourbon bottled at 45.1% ABV, in a 75cl bottle. It was distilled at the Stitzel-Weller distillery in Louisville, which closed in 1992. The mash bill is 86% corn, 8% barley and 6% rye. Barterhouse was the first release in 2014 from Diageo's Orphan Barrel project, which set out to find and bottle aged whiskey left forgotten in rickhouses. The nose is charcoal, honeyed oak and vanilla beans. The palate brings caramel, marzipan, buttered toast and candied orange, and the finish is oaky and slightly sweet, with a touch of citrus and chocolate.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
