Overeem Bourbon Cask Strength is a Tasmanian single malt matured in bourbon casks and bottled at 60% in a 70cl bottle. Jane Overeem first tasted it straight from the cask and kept it on her watch list.
The nose is creamy and rich, with citrus, vanilla and coconut in balance between spirit and cask. On the palate there is charred pineapple, caramelised apple and banana with soft vanilla and citrus, led by malt with gentle oak and spice. The finish is creamy and lingering with a zippy lift, reminiscent of a Pina Colada.
