Patrón Silver 100 Proof is an unaged blanco tequila made from 100% Weber Blue Agave at Hacienda Patrón in the Highlands of Jalisco. It is bottled at 50% ABV, or 100 proof, in a 75cl bottle.
All of the agave is crushed with a volcanic stone tahona, and the spirit is distilled to proof, so no water is added after distillation. It comes from copper pot stills and has a fuller body and more texture as a result.
The nose is cooked agave, lime zest and grapefruit, with white pepper, cilantro, mint and wet stone. The palate is sweet agave and citrus, then black pepper, raw honey and a chalky, cocoa-like texture. The finish is long and warm, with white pepper and citrus peel.
