Patrón Silver Tequila (175cl, 40%)

Patrón Silver is an unaged blanco tequila made from 100% Weber Blue Agave at Hacienda Patrón in the highlands of Jalisco. This one is in a 1.75 litre bottle and is bottled at 40% vol. Two methods are used for the agave. Part is crushed with a traditional tahona, a volcanic stone wheel, and part with a modern roller mill. The two juices are fermented separately in pine oak tanks, distilled individually in small copper pot stills and then blended. The nose brings citrus peel, honeydew melon, gentle herbal notes and a hint of marzipan. The palate is soft and sweet with cooked agave, lemongrass and honey, and the finish is dry and moderate, with light pepper and citrus.
