Peat's Beast 30 Year Old is a full-bodied Islay single malt bottled at 50.6%. Its character centres on pronounced peat and smoke, with a medicinal edge to the aromas.
The nose combines peat, citrus and aniseed with fruit, soft flowers and cereal. A rich palate brings smoke, sea salt, citrus and chewy toffee, followed by dried seaweed and salty maritime notes. Herbal touches, oak and heather soften the smoky character before a long, peaty finish.
