Peat's Beast 30 Years Old is an Islay single malt matured for thirty years in oak casks. It is a limited edition, bottled at a batch strength of 50.6% ABV in a 70cl bottle and not chill filtered.
The maturation gives a full flavour with a powerful delivery of peat and smoke. It is full-bodied, rich and intense, with the classic Islay notes of peat smoke, tar and seaweed.
The aftertaste is a light, dry smoke. A splash of water is suggested to tame it.
