This is a limited-edition Welsh single malt from Penderyn, bottled for the 30th anniversary of the importer Bresser & Timmer. It was distilled in September 2008, matured in an ex-Ruby Port cask and bottled in July 2023 at a cask strength of 59.7% ABV. 271 bottles were filled.
The nose is full of berries, including raspberry, cranberry and redcurrant, with plum, red apple and a hint of gooseberry. The palate is smooth, with jammy plum and berry sweetness, light zesty notes, vanilla and cocoa powder. The finish keeps the red fruit going, with peppery spice, a slightly bitter dark chocolate note and a dry end from the tannins.
