Penderyn – Madeira Finish

Penderyn Madeira Finish is a Welsh single malt whisky. The spirit is made on Penderyn's Faraday still, then finished in Madeira wine casks. The nose brings tropical fruit, including papaya, guava, mango and dried kiwi, with vanilla cream, almond, light biscuit sweetness and gentle oak. The palate is silky, with more tropical fruit, Jordan almonds, vanilla sandwich cookie and gentle spice. A splash of water brings out milk chocolate, coffee bean and soft nuttiness. The finish is long and fruit-led, with oak, almond and grapefruit peel.
