Penderyn Portwood is a Welsh single malt finished in port wood. It comes from the Penderyn distillery, which sits in the Brecon Beacons National Park. The nose combines rich dried fruits, dark chocolate and cranberries, with toasty oak and a baked, nutty dryness. The palate is creamy and rich, with honey and spice emerging. The finish is smooth, with soft oak and honey sweetness lingering gently.
