Penderyn Hiraeth is a Welsh single malt from the distillery near the Brecon Beacons National Park, which opened in 2000. It is the latest release in the Icon of Wales series, and its name is the Welsh word for deep longing for one's homeland. The whisky begins its maturation in bourbon casks and then moves to STR casks, which combine new oak with red wine. It is described as showing Penderyn's fruity character, along with citrus, honey and spices such as nutmeg.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
