Penderyn Celt is a peated Welsh single malt from the Penderyn distillery, finished in ex-peated quarter casks and bottled at 40% ABV in a 70cl bottle. It holds a Kosher certificate.
The nose combines peat smoke, a rocky seaside on an early morning and warm marmalade on toast. The palate opens with marked sweetness before smoky, slightly medicinal flavours follow. The finish carries a slight bitterness and leaves a long, lingering freshness in the mouth.
