Penderyn Icon of Wales Hiraeth is a Welsh single malt finished in ex-Bourbon casks and bottled at 46% ABV in a 70cl bottle.
It is the first core range single malt from Penderyn to use mainly spirit from the pot stills, which the distillery introduced in 2014.
The nose is elegant and floral, with light oak, vanilla, raisins, toffee apples, citrus peel and a hint of lime. The palate is delicate and smooth, with honeyed fruits, vanilla, cinnamon and a hint of nutmeg. Soft honey and vanilla fade to a malty finish.
