Penderyn Legend is a Welsh single malt that replaces the Penderyn Madeira Finish. It belongs to the Welsh Dragon Range, bottled at 41%, and the red dragon on the label is the emblem of Wales.
The whisky is matured in ex-bourbon casks and then finished in Madeira casks. Penderyn distils its malts once, in a copper Faraday still.
The nose is fresh and balanced, with apples, citrus, toffee and sultanas. The palate is soft and sweet with a slight bitterness, and the finish is long, with sultanas and Madeira cake.
