Penderyn Madeira Finish is a single malt made at the Penderyn distillery in the Brecon Beacons National Park, Wales. The distillery revived Welsh whisky making after more than a century and takes its name from the nearby village.
The spirit matures in ex-bourbon barrels, then finishes in ex-Madeira wine casks. It is bottled at 46% abv.
The nose brings cream toffee, rich fruit and raisins. The palate is crisp and rounded, with sweetness balanced by dryness, and the long finish carries tropical fruit, raisins and vanilla.
