This is a single cask Welsh whisky from Penderyn, matured in an ultra-small Blood Tub cask that previously held PX sherry. It was bottled at its natural cask strength of 54.8% ABV, in a run of just 52 individually numbered bottles, in a 70cl bottle.
The cask is described as a highly active one, which shapes the character of the whisky.
The nose offers dark fruits, green apple and hazelnut. The palate is rounded and deep, with early sweetness moving into a clean, refreshing dryness. The finish is long and smooth, with sultanas and lingering toffee.
