Pierre Ferrand Légendaire is a Grande Champagne cognac from Maison Ferrand, founded by Alexandre Gabriel. It is a limited release, drawn from the oldest eaux-de-vie in the Ferrand cellars, all from the Premier Cru de Cognac, Grande Champagne.
It comes in a hand-blown crystal decanter with a hand-crafted silver armature and filigree stopper, inside a hand-carved wooden cabinet. Its deep mahogany colour comes from long ageing in French Limousin and Tronçais oak.
The nose is layered, with candied orange peel, aged leather, dried apricot, dark honey, roasted almonds, sandalwood and rancio. The palate is silky, with candied citrus, dark chocolate, dried fig, vanilla, cinnamon and aged oak.
