This is a single grain whisky from Girvan in the Lowlands, bottled by The Whisky Cellar as part of its Pintail series. It was distilled in 2006 and bottled in 2024 at 53.7%, from cask number 4012, with 256 bottles filled.
After 17 years in refill ex-bourbon casks, it was finished in a Fine Bretagne French oak barrique. It is non-chill-filtered and has no added colour.
The nose is fresh vanilla and light fruit with fine wood notes. The palate is full, with dried fruit, spice, a little oak and nutty touches. The finish is long and warm, balancing sweet and spicy impressions.
