Piper-Heidsieck Cuvée Rare Brut 2012 Champagne (75cl)

Piper-Heidsieck Cuvée Rare 2012 is a vintage Champagne and the house's top cuvée, made only in years judged exceptional. It blends 70% Chardonnay and 30% Pinot Noir, goes through full malolactic fermentation and is finished with a dosage of 8g/l. It spends at least ten years on the lees and a minimum of six months resting after disgorgement. Pale gold in the glass with fine bubbles, the nose offers brioche, almond, mango, guava and bergamot, then lilac, honey, black tea, white pepper, incense and smoke. The palate is tangy and juicy with citrus fruits and a silky texture, ending in a long, saline, mineral finish.
