A single cask rum from Rum Co. of Fiji, distilled in 2011 and bottled in 2023. It was fermented for 4 to 5 days, matured for 7 years in American bourbon casks, then for 4 years in Ferrand casks and 1 year in Marsala casks. Marsala is a liqueur wine from the Sicilian port city of the same name. Dosage is 0.
The nose has hazelnut, hints of passion fruit, chocolate-covered dried fruit and a touch of brewed coffee. The palate is markedly fruity-sweet, with chocolate-covered dried fruit, burnt sugar, full and round.
