A single cask rum from the Fiji Islands, distilled in 2007 by Rum Co. of Fiji from molasses and bottled in 2026 as part of the Legends of Rum series. It spent 14 years ageing tropically in Bourbon casks and 4 years continentally in Ferrand casks. The outturn is 888 bottles. It is bottled at 57.8% vol with no added sugar or caramel colouring.
Tasting Notes
Intense and layered, with strong tobacco, dried apricot, candied orange peel, ester notes of lacquer and aged wood, flambéed banana, ripe peach, roasted hazelnut, nutmeg, mint, pecan and subtle smoke.
Full-bodied and oily, with honeyed richness, liquorice, dark chocolate and cocoa, passion fruit, bitter orange, roasted molasses, pepper, vanilla fudge and roasted nuts.
Long and layered, with charred oak, liquorice, dark coffee, salty and dry notes, balsam, clove, coconut milk, menthol and Sichuan pepper.
