Poit Dhubh 8 Year Old Uisge Beatha is a blended malt from the Gaelic Whisky Company (Pràban na Linne), rooted in the Isle of Skye. The name is Gaelic for an illicit still. It is bottled at 43% and is non-chill-filtered. The blend is made mainly from Talisker malt with Speyside components, and part of it has matured in sherry casks. The nose is lightly peated and earthy, with dates, raisins, figs, nuttiness and a faint cereal note. The palate has soft honey, caramel and gentle spice, with maritime salinity and orchard fruit. The finish is medium in length, smoky and slightly perfumed, with sweetness and spice lingering.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
