Pokeno – Discovery Single Malt

Pokeno Discovery is a single malt made by selecting and blending parcels of whisky that have fully matured in first-fill bourbon, Oloroso and Pedro Ximenez casks. The blend is then returned to cask for further ageing, so the components come together. It is described as rich and complex, with dark chocolate, black forest gateau, ripe cherries and sweet citrus. The nose offers treacle, cinnamon, dried figs, cherries and cocoa nibs. On the palate come warm spices, vanilla, cocoa powder, candied orange peel and oak. The finish carries allspice and dried raisins.
