Port Askaig 16 Year Old 2008 is an Islay single malt Scotch whisky from Caol Ila, matured in a hogshead and bottled at 54.2% in a 70cl bottle. The Port Askaig range was created in 2009 by Sukhinder and Rajbir Singh of Elixir Distillers and takes its name from the small harbour on Islay's north-eastern coast.
The style is coastal and gently smoky, combining sea spray and peat with fresh fruit and a pastoral softness. It is described as smoky, briny and bright.
