Port Askaig 28 Year Old is an Islay single malt bottled by Elixir Distillers at 45.8%, in a 70cl bottle. It comes from a small, selected batch of refill American oak hogsheads.
The whisky is described as complex, coastal and peaty. The nose is herbal, with mint, smoked tea leaves and pine, alongside almonds, tropical fruits and vanilla.
On the palate come orange peel, custard and cinnamon, together with salty, savoury notes.
