Port Askaig 8 Year Old is a peated Islay single malt put together by Elixir Distillers, in a 70cl bottle. The name comes from the village of Port Askaig, close to the main port of the island.
It is matured exclusively in ex-bourbon casks of American oak, which bring a marine, fruity side.
It is described as having notes of smoke and wild herbs, with touches of honey and vanilla.
