Port Askaig 8 Year Old is an Islay single malt bottled by Speciality Drinks at 45.8% ABV, in a 70cl bottle with a gift box. It is the second permanent expression in the Port Askaig range, after the Port Askaig 100 Proof.
The whisky was aged in refill American oak. Its peat character is soft and sweet, which makes it a more approachable version of the brand.
It is typically described as showing smoke, wild grass, honey and vanilla.
