Port Charlotte 10 Years Old is a heavily peated single malt from the Isle of Islay, produced by Bruichladdich. It was introduced in 2018 as the flagship Port Charlotte expression. It is peated to 40ppm and bottled at 50% in a 750ml bottle.
The whisky is drawn from first-fill and second-fill American whiskey casks together with second-fill French wine casks.
The nose offers salted caramel brownie, flamed orange peel and plenty of seaweed. On the palate, oaky smoke and salty sea air meet Custard Cream biscuits and white grape. The finish brings ginger snaps, rye toast and drying peat smoke.
