A peated 8 year old single malt from Port Charlotte, part of the Cask Exploration Series and presented in a 70cl bottle. The barley was harvested on Islay in 2011.
The first part of its maturation took place in ex-American whisky casks. The second was in former Pauillac casks, which previously held the red wine from the left bank of the Gironde.
This pairing is said to bring notes of red fruit and a long, elegant finish.
