Port Charlotte PMC:01 is a new addition to the Cask Exploration series, an Islay single malt from the Bruichladdich range. It spent the second half of its maturation in casks from Pomerol in Bordeaux, a right-bank area known for its red wines.
The Pomerol casks bring fruity aromas of black berries, plums and old leather, and these are rounded out by the salty, maritime influence of Islay.
