Port Ellen – 1982 23 Year Old Old & Rare is a whisky from Port Ellen (Islay). Aged 23 years, bottled at 55.1% ABV, 70cl. Having been in specialist and craft Scotch Whisky production for generations, Douglas Laing originally exported blends, but now carries the family name down the line by focusing on bottling exceptional single malts and grains as part of their Old Particular, Provenance and XOP ranges. They also enjoy huge success with their “Remarkable Regional Malts” range; a series of creatively named vatted malts, designed to epitomise the characteristics of Scotland’s whisky regions. The Old & Rare Range from Douglas Laing contains whisky that it believes deserves greater recognition due to the unique and remarkable qualities the whisky possesses. Bottled in distinctive squat bottles, this range of single cask whiskies offers relatively few examples due to the angels’ share taken during the maturation process. Port Ellen

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
