Prestonfield Blended (70cl, 43%)

A blended Scotch whisky in a 70cl bottle at 43% ABV. The label shows the Prestonfield Hotel alongside Edinburgh landmarks: the Scott Monument, the Forth Road Bridge and the Palace of Holyroodhouse. Andrew Symington, who founded Signatory, worked at Prestonfield, a hotel with a strong link to the whisky world. Old bottles of this blend turned up at Signatory during a stocktake. The nose has light fruit, with apple, peach, banana and pineapple, set gently into soft peat. The palate is fruity again, with spicy oak and a little peat.
