A red Primitivo from Codici, grown in Salento and bottled in a 1500 ml magnum in a wooden case. It is deep ruby red in colour.
The nose offers ripe forest fruits, plum and cherry, with vanilla and black pepper from wood ageing. On the palate it is full-bodied and enveloping, with soft, velvety tannins, good acidity and a persistent finish of ripe fruit and sweet spice.
It pairs with grilled red meats, roasts and aged cheeses.
