Probably Speyside's Finest 1968 is a 40 year old Speyside single malt from a single cask, released by Douglas Laing in 2009 as part of its Old Malt Cask series. It comes in a 70cl bottle, without colouring or chill filtration. Cask 5047 was a sherry butt, and it yielded 361 bottles. They were bottled at 50% ABV, the strength Douglas Laing prefers for the Old Malt Cask series. The whisky was distilled in 1968, so it spent forty years in the cask before bottling.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
