Proper No. Twelve Irish Whiskey 4 Year Old (70cl, 40%)

Proper No. Twelve is an Irish blended whiskey of at least four years, made by combining single malt and grain whiskey. It was launched in 2018 by Eire Born Spirits and goes back to Conor McGregor, who worked with master distiller David Elder on almost 100 variations before settling on the final blend. The whiskeys are triple distilled at Bushmills and matured in charred ex-bourbon barrels. The name refers to Crumlin in Dublin 12, where McGregor grew up. It is bottled at 40% in a 70cl bottle. The nose brings baked apple, ripe berries and a touch of honey. The palate is soft, with vanilla and toasted wood, and the finish is warming with creamy toffee.
