This is a VSOP Cognac from Maison Prunier, made from eaux-de-vie of Grande Champagne, the only cru called Premier Cru. It is sold in a 75cl bottle.
Prunier has produced Cognac since 1769 and works with fine lees distillation and Limousin oak. Its cellars at Gimeux are naturally humid, owing to the nearby river.
On the nose there are cacao, tobacco and leather. The palate brings peach, hazelnut, nutmeg and English toffee.
