This Pulteney is a 17-year-old single malt from Signatory Vintage's Symington's Choice series, in which founder Andrew Symington personally selects the casks. It was distilled in 2008 and bottled in 2025 at 54.7% ABV, in a 70cl bottle.
It spent its whole maturation in a single first fill bourbon barrel, number 800017, and was bottled as 199 bottles.
The nose combines candied orange, red berries and ripe peach with honey, vanilla, caramel, cinnamon, clove and a light sea breeze. The palate brings orange marmalade, dried plums, redcurrants, almond and oak spice. The finish is long and warm, with caramel, spice, nuts and a hint of maritime freshness.
