This is a 12 year old Pulteney, an independent bottling of a single malt from the Northern Highlands. It was distilled on 27 May 2008 and bottled on 16 June 2020 at cask strength, 56.3% ABV.
The whisky matured in refill bourbon and sherry casks, and 691 bottles were filled.
The nose brings sherry, sea air and old furniture. The palate starts firmly, with plenty of wood, salinity, grain and nuts, and the finish is warm and peppery with a fruity close.
