Quinta do Noval Vintage Port (75cl)

This is a Vintage port from Quinta do Noval, a Douro house whose vintage wines all come from the single Quinta do Noval vineyard. It is a sweet wine. Noval is mentioned in land registries going back to 1715. Grapes at the estate are crushed by foot in lagares, and the terraced vineyards sit on schist above the Douro and Pinhão rivers. The wine is ripe, full and exuberant, with spice on the nose and very fine, long tannins. It has the purity and elegance expected of Noval.
