Raasay Borders Single Grain is a Scotch grain whisky from the Isle of Raasay, in a 70cl bottle at 46% ABV. It is made from barley grown on the island, distilled in a column still and matured only in ex-bourbon American oak. It is bottled without chill filtration or added colour.
The nose is maritime, with sea salt, light vanilla, toasted barley and faint orchard fruit. On the palate there is sweet malt, soft pear and gentle toffee, with a coastal saltiness and a little oak spice. The finish is long and dry, with a mineral note.
