Raasay While We Wait is a single malt from the distillery on the Isle of Raasay, bottled at 46% ABV in a 70cl bottle. It is named for the time it takes to build a new distillery.
It is distilled from Raasay barley and matured exclusively in ex-bourbon American oak barrels. It is bottled without chill filtration or added colour.
The nose is fresh with sea air, malt sweetness, green apple and a soft trace of peat smoke. The palate is medium-bodied, with honeyed grain, orchard fruit, heather and a little salinity. The finish is clean and persistent, with soft smoke, barley sweetness and light spice.
