Ranger Creek .36 is a Texas bourbon finished in amburana casks, bottled at 54.5% ABV in a 70cl bottle. It is two years and six months old. The mash bill is 70% corn, 16% rye and 14% malted barley.
Cinnamon, toasted caramel, brown sugar and maple syrup come through on the nose. The palate runs to cinnamon rolls, butter toffee, aniseed and sweet liquorice, milk chocolate with orange zest, roasted pineapple, ripe apricot, caramel and toasted hazelnuts. The finish is long-lasting.
