This is a Texas bourbon from Ranger Creek, aged for two years and six months and bottled at 50% in a 70cl bottle. The mash bill is 70% corn, 16% rye and 14% malted barley.
Its distinguishing feature is the finish in Amburana casks.
The nose is toasted caramel, brown sugar, maple syrup and cinnamon. On the palate come butter toffee, aniseed and almost sweet liquorice, then milk chocolate with orange zest, ripe pineapple, caramel and toasted hazelnuts. The finish is lingering.
