A straight rye whiskey from Ranger Creek in Texas, bottled at 59.8% ABV in a 70cl bottle. It has spent more than two years in barrel. The Texas heat speeds up maturation, and the longer time in large casks has left the whiskey notably round. The nose is floral, with fresh rye bread, black pepper and mint. On the palate come fresh spices, apple, cloves and strong mint, with a slight touch of methanol. The finish is strong and warming, with notes of fresh bread crust.
