A wheated single barrel bourbon from Lux Row Distillers in Bardstown, Kentucky, bottled undiluted at 60% ABV in a 750ml bottle.
The mashbill is 68% corn, 20% wheat and 12% malted barley, and the barrel was chosen in person at the distillery, so each bottle reflects one cask.
The nose combines dusty oak, raw honey, cinnamon and warm butter, with raisin and cooked peach underneath. Honey and vanilla lead the palate, then dark chocolate and orange zest, with building cinnamon and a soft, round mouthfeel. The finish is long and warming, with chocolate, orange peel, charred oak, tobacco and baking spice.
