Red Earl Irish Whiskey (70cl, 40%)

Red Earl is a blended Irish whiskey in a 70cl bottle at 40%. It combines grain whiskey from ex-bourbon casks with triple-distilled malt, matured for 45 months in ex-sherry casks and then finished for four months in selected ex-Rioja casks. The Rioja finish adds spicy fruit notes and gives the whiskey a historical link to Red Hugh and Spain's Rioja region. It is of natural colour and not chill-filtered. The nose offers cherry and strawberry, rose petals, fresh citrus, marzipan, almonds and wood. Toffee and vanilla meet roasted almonds, cinnamon, cloves and spice on the palate. The finish is of medium length, warm and fruity.
