Redbreast 12 Year Old is a single pot still Irish whiskey bottled at 40% in a 70cl bottle. It is a deep, bright brassy gold in the glass.
The aroma opens with creamy soda, then vanilla wafer and sweet cereals, giving it a slight Bourbon character. The entry is soft and light, and the middle turns creamy, with toasty, semi-sweet cereals and brandy cream sauce set against spicy, drying oak.
The finish is crisp, dry and long, with vanilla wafer returning before a late creme caramel fade. It is light in body but deep in flavour.
