Redbreast 18 Year Old is a single pot still Irish whiskey in a 70cl bottle, a newer age statement in the Redbreast range. It was matured in ex-bourbon barrels together with casks seasoned with oloroso sherry, cream sherry and ruby port, drawing on aged stock at Midleton Distillery.
The nose is blackcurrants, raspberries, sugar-glazed cherries and dried fig, with hazelnut chocolate, toasted almonds, cinnamon, polished oak and worn leather. The palate is full-bodied and rounded, with ginger, liquorice, dried fruits, dark berries and orange peel. The finish is rich and lasting as the pot still spices, fruit and oak fade together.
